SSH Consulting is looking to recruit a young professional to support its further growth and to contribute to the successful attraction of foreign direct investments towards the US. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic consulting team and will be able to work closely with our US client from day one.
The tasks include:
- Identification, targeting and support of companies from French-speaking markets that are looking to enter the US market and the West Coast in particular.
- Direct approach of key decision makers of French, Swiss and Belgian companies to discuss their US market entry strategy
- Participation in strategic corporate meetings with mid-size and large companies from France, Switzerland and Belgium on manufacturing and R&D investment projects in the US, preparing and researching relevant information for the targeted companies
- Analysis of industry trends in Europe and the US that will trigger new investments flows from Europe towards the US such as the e-mobility revolution, reshoring of the semiconductor industry, new trends in the food or the medtech industry
- Proactive approach of US-French/US-Belgian/US-Swiss Stakeholder groups that support companies with economic interests in these regions such as industry associations, transatlantic groups, but also specialized law firms, tax advisors and site selectors
- Development of a communication strategy on behalf of the US client in the French-speaking markets
What we expect:
- 2 years of working experience in economic development, international relations, or international public relations
- Background in political science, international trade or geography with a strong interest for regional economic development and topics such as foreign direct investment and location marketing (minimum Bachelor degree level)
- Interest in working in an international environment at the crossroads between the public and private sector
- First understanding of global location strategies of companies and regional marketing strategies of States/Regions
- Excellent written and oral French and English, German is an additional asset
- Analytical thinking, structured mindset, and ability to work independently
